FIGHT CLUB SCHEMATIC

Our schematic began with us deciding which characters' timelines to document. We ended up picking 4 of the main characters in the film: The Narrator, his alter ego Tyler, Marla and Bob. After watching the film, we began to take notes on the main events of the story. One final year discussed the schematic with us and gave us guidelines on how to structure it. She advised us to map out the key events and place each of our chosen characters in it describing what they were doing at the time. We plotted out a rough timeline for each of our characters on a whiteboard to get a general idea of the story mapped out. 

However, this ended up being quite messy so we then did a second draft on paper instead.

 This was the basis of what would later turn out to be our final schematic. It had a good structure so we decided to import the idea into Photoshop and take it from there.

We chose the blue descending into red gradient to represent the two sides of Tyler's personality. The vertical structure was quite visually pleasing and it was easily read. We included some character graphics at the bottom for clarity. We also included some of the main narratives featured in the film to the right.
